Kathmandu, June 25: Minister for Information and Communications Jayaprakash Prasad Gupta inaugurated a one-day talk programme on 25 years of Nepali transmission on China Radio Inter Assembly (CRI) organised by CRI Listeners Club Assembly Council, Nepal here today.
In his inaugural speech, Minister Gupta appreciated Chinese assistance in various sectors including human resources development, physical infrastructure development, health and transport and said that Nepal and China are enjoying irritant free close relations since ages.
Stating that an understanding has been reached between the two countries recently for expansion of the areas of mutual cooperation in economic and technical fields, he stressed the need to further strengthen the good neighbourly relations between the two countries.
Chinese Ambassador Zhang Xuyong said thanks to the Nepali programme transmission from CRI Nepalese listeners are quite familiar with the reforms policy of China, its economic development, art and culture and way of life.
MP Narayan Sharma Poudel observed that the whole world is impressed by the progress made by China in diverse fields.
Also speaking at the programme chaired by president of CRI Listeners Club, National Council Nepal Prakash Babu Poudel were Govinda Bhatta, Dr. Ballav Mani Dahal, Satya Mohan Joshi, China Study Centre president Madan Regmi and vice president of the Listeners Club National Council Rajendra Rimal.
