Kathmandu, June 15: Resident Representative of United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) Dr. Henning Karcher paid a courtesy call on Minister for Industry, Commerce and Supplies Ramkrishna Tamrakar at the latter’s office today.
Expressing gratitude for the assistance being received from UNDP in the development endeavours of Nepal, Minister Tamrakar pointed out the need to expand the cooperation to industry, trade and other economic areas also.
He also hoped for UNDP’s cooperation in the second industrial investment promotion conference to be organised by His Majesty’s Government, formulating long-term industrial projects, export promotion and development of socio-economic infrastructures taking into consideration the geographical condition of the country.
On the occasion Dr. Karcher said progress of investments made by UNDP are satisfactory and gave assurance to continue the cooperation in future also.
