RPP meeting focuses on budget issue

Kathmandu, June 1: The meeting of the Parliamentary Party of the Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) held under the convenorship of the National Assembly member and RPP central member Rabindra Nath Sharma held extensive discussions on the budget for the fiscal year 2000-2001.

The meeting concluded that the estimate of revenue and foreign assistance and loan were unreliable, and the budget had been presented in an irresponsible and haphazard manner.

They took stock of the current economic scenario of the country and took decisions on issues to be raised in the parliament, according to a press release of the RPP central office.

All the RPP MPs of the House of Representatives and the National Assembly, party vice-president Dr. Prakash Chandra Lohani, central members Jog Mehar Shrestha, Narayan Dutta Bhatta and Roshan Karki were present at the meeting.
