NC fighting against injustice: Sushil

Chautara, June 3: Nepali Congress general secretary Sushil Koirala has said that the Nepali Congress was founded to struggle against poverty, injustice and exploitation in the villages and safeguard democracy.

Addressing a gathering of party workers organised by Nepal freedom fighters association, Sindhupalchowk here today, Mr Koirala expressed the view that proper development of water resources and tourism would avoid youths from going abroad. The government has been working seriously towards maintaining law and order in the country, he added.

On the occasion Mr Koirala also felicitated 85-year-old Bhakta Bahadur Shrestha of Sanusiruwari, who was actively involved in the Democratic Movement of 2007 B.S.

NC central members Bhim Bahadur Tamang and Rewati Prasad Bhusal, mp Mohan Bahadur Basnet and other speakers also expressed their views at the programme chaired by the association’s district president Mankumar Shrestha.
