20-member team from National Defense College India arrives

A 20-member team from the National Defense College of India arrived in Kathmandu on a four-day visit Monday, as part of a tour the college organizes to neighboring and foreign countries to enable student officers to understand the socio-political, economic, defense and foreign policy aspects of the countries they visit.

The team, headed by Major General G D Bakshi, includes senior staff of the college and officers from Saudi Arabia, Kenya, Tanzania and Bangladesh, reports said.

The team will meet Prime Minister Girija Prasad Koirala, Deputy Prime Minister K P Sharma Oli, Finance Minister Ram Sharan Mahat and Chief of Army Staff General Rukmangad Katawal among others.
