At least two Nepali nationals are feared dead in the floods triggered by the incessant downpour for a week in the Indian city of Mumbai. Thousands of Nepalis living there have been displaced, reports said.

Reports citing Lokesh Shah, editor of Nepali Front- Mumbai based Nepali vernacular daily- said that one of the killed has been identified as Lok Bahadur Khadka, 23, while identification of another Nepali victim who had been working as a security guard has not yet been established.

Heavy shower started in and around Mumbai from Tuesday last week, killing over 900 people so far.

Mumbai and neighboring areas have been home to hundreds of thousands of Nepalis. Nepali migrants to the southern neighbor are increasing all the time due to the armed conflict in Nepal.
