The All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) has officially confirmed that the league winner from this season will grab 2 million Nepalese Rupees in prize money.
The increment in the money is double compared to the previous year and was according to plan of building the league infrastructure. In another development, ANFA has decided to increase the preparation allowances for each ‘A’ Division clubs by Rs 175,000 to Rs 250,000. The clubs cannot receive the gate collections from their respective matches now. The Club representatives of 14 “A” Division Clubs had decided the issue.
The meeting held at ANFA Complex on Thursday also decided to shift the league date from September to November 1 with the use of two venues; Dasrath Stadium and another venue yet to be finalized.
Now the second-placed side can win Rs 1,000,000 while the third gets Rs 500,000. MMC had claimed the title last year with one million rupees. The fair play team will receive 50,000 cash.
ANFA has announced that other prizes will remain the same with commitment to provide a car for the best player and motorbikes for six best players in other categories.
ANFA has also decided to use the International Transfer Certificate (ITC) system for foreign players. From now on, ITC is a must for those foreign players who want to play in the Nepalese League.
