Though the Maoists have agreed to join open competitive politics and are planning to join the interim government and interim legislature, nineteen persons are till being confined to a house, which they have been using as a jail, at Gothdamar in Harnamadi village development committee of Hetauda district.
Nineteen people including three former Maoists are still languishing at the rebels’ jail in various charges, reports The Kathmandu Post daily.
Ex-Maoists Santosh Paudyal, Saroj Upreti and Ashok Lama have been put in labour camps for various charges for the last four months.
According to chief of the jail Surya, of the 19 people, Keshav Bhujel, Jaya Bahadur Ghising and Anam Singh are facing murder charges.
Likewise, Prem Bahadur Galan, Binod Lama, Vijay Gyambo, Surya Bal, Laxman Shrestha, Bimal Lama, Binod Lama, Sahadev Giri, Raju Shah, Som Ghimire, Pappu Shah, Deepak Acharya and Deepak Lama were detained on various charges including robbery, misbehavior with women and other criminal activities.
Despite their repeated commitments, Maoists are continuing their attocities in different parts of the country.
