Kathmandu, June 26: Eleven persons of three families were killed in landslide caused by incessant rain in Chamku Village of Dolkha district, about 200 kilometers east of Kathmandu.
According to police, the mudslide caused by torrential rain swept away three houses in which all members of the three families were killed.
Those killed in the mudslide are Ring Bahadur Gurung, his wife and three daughters: Tulsa Gurung, Nirmala Gurung and Nepte Gurung. Other names were not available.
The incident took place four days ago but came to notice only Monday due to lack communications with the remote Chamku village, police said.
