10 Nepali workers die in five weeks: Reports

Ten Nepali workers have died in Qatar in just over five weeks, a Gulf Times report said.

Three Nepali workers were killed in car accidents, six died of cardiac arrest and one was electrocuted, the August 17 edition of the Gulf Times said.

According to the report, Ashok Kumar Belbase, 31, was killed in an accident on August 12 in Shahaniya. Two more passengers were injured, one of them critically. In another incident, Magendra Limbu, 22, was killed in an accident on August 8 near Mukeinis, the report said. Another Nepali, Raj Jaisi, 36, was killed while crossing the road to catch his company bus on July 12.

The Nepalis who died of heart attacks were Ang Nagima Sherpa, 37, on August 13, Prem Lal Tamang, 36, on August 11, IM Bahadur Damai, 34 and Sharaban Sah, 24, on July 27, Sang Bahadur Sunar, 28, on July 15 and Rahish Miya, 29, on July 9, the report said.

Another Nepali, Hem Sagar Neupane, 25, was electrocuted on July 16, the report said. (The Gulf Times report)
