WB provides $32m grant for rural roads, bridges

The World Bank (WB) will provide assistance of $32 million to Nepal for the construction of rural roads and suspension bridges during the next five years.
The assistance will be used to construct 350 suspension bridges in the districts where the decentralization rural infrastructure and livelihood reform programme has been implemented and 15 districts which do not have road links.

Under the project, 800 kms of all-weather rural road, 200 kms of winter road will be constructed and 3,500 kms of rural roads will be repaired, it is stated.
