The Revenue Investigation Department Thursday arrested and released Santosh Tibriwala on a Rs.6.13 million bail for allegedly conspiring with another businessman for misusing foreign currency released to import copper scrap, a senior official said.

Tibriwala was arrested after Mahendra Golcha was also released on a Rs.18 million bail for a similar charge. The arrests came after customs officials in Biratnagar found sand, stones and pebbles in a container supposed to carry copper.
