At least three women were killed and two others were seriously in a mudslide at Jogdiha VDC of Udayapur district Saturday afternoon.

Reports quoting police officials at the District Police Office of Udaypur said Pramila Chaudhary, 25, Man Kumari Chaudhary and 45-year-old Dashani Chaudhary died on the spot after being buried under the mudslide. They were digging for mud when the incident occurred.

Two women injured in the incident have been undergoing treatment at a local hospital, reports added.
