Three children swept away by floods

KATHMANDU:  Three children fishing along a river bank were swept away by a flash flood in Kailali district Saturday, police said.

Tanka Bhatt, 13, Basanta Bohara, 9, and Durga Bahadur Bishwakarma, 9, were swept away by the Charelaghat rivulet. Three others swam to safety while two others held on to a floating tree and survived. The eight were fishing while herding cattle.
