Their Majesties King Gyanendra and Queen Komal are in Pokhara, the regional headquarter of the western region today, in course of their unofficial visit to the Western Development Region to access the situation of the region.
Speaker Tara Nath Ranabhat, Minister for Women Children and Social Welfare Druga Shrestha, Regional Administrator and Zonal Administrator of the Gandaki zone greeted their Majesties there.
According to 1.00 p.m. news bulletin of the Radio Nepal, their Majesties are currently granting collective audience to the general public and listening their grievances.
Large number of people carrying placards and flower bouquet queued up in both sides of the road to welcome their Majesties in their town and to express their grievances.
Many welcome gates have been erected in Pokhara to welcome their Majesties.
Their Majesties will grant collective audience and issue directives to the chairmen and vice chairmen of the District Development Committees (DDCs) of six districts of Gandaki zone.

Their Majesties visited Baglung, the zonal headquarter of the Dhaulagiri zone and Butwal, the zonal headquarter of the Lumbini zone during this visit. Their Majesties left the capital on Tuesday for an unofficial visit to the region.
Earlier, King Gyanendra had visited districts in the eastern, mid and far-western and central region of Nepal after the Royal takeover of February 1 to access the security situation of the regions and to listen to the grievances of the local people.
