Kathmandu: A partial lunar eclipse was seen from all over the country from 7:22 p.m. to 9:59 p.m. today.

The eclipse was to be seen in East Asia, the East Indian Ocean, Australia, New Zealand, Iceland and Antarctica, according to astrologer Prof. Dr. Mangal Raj Joshi.

As per tradition, religious minded people take a bath both at the start and the end of the eclipse. As religious scriptures describe the eclipse period as impure, people except the elderly, children and the ill, do not eat anything till the eclipse ends.

According to Dr. Joshi, the lunar eclipse will have a bad effect on those born under zodiac signs of aries, taurus, gemini, leo, virgo, scorpio, sagittarius, capricorn and a good effect on those born under cancer, libra, aquarius and pisces.
