The government Thursday appointed Lok Deep Thapa, the Acting Editor-in-Chief of The Rising Nepal as the Acting General Manager of Gorkhapatra Corporation, the nation’s oldest publishing house.

Thapa, 43, began his career as sub editor in “The Rising Nepal” in August 1983. The ministry has also nominated Under Secretary at the Ministry of Information and Communications Batu Krishna Paudel and Yuba Raj Gautam as members of the board of directors of the corporation.
