Surgical programme on physical disabilities

KATHMANDU, Oct18 – A surgical programme on physical abnormalities and disabilities is being organised at Trishuli in Bidur municipality, Nuwakot, from October 17 to 21 , states a press release issued here today.

The programme is being organised by Karing For Kids (KFK)-Nepal in co-operation with 22 member expert team of Planet Med SurgiCorp International from USA. The programme is being co-ordinated by Pete Ferrara.

The purpose of the surgical programme is to provide free and quality service to approximately 150 needy children and community people who cannot afford to come to Kathmandu and at the same time exchange knowledge and skills with the local medical team under the leadership of Dr Sushil Pyakural and Dr Ishwari Lohani.

Established in late 1997, KFK is a pioneer of outreach training based service delivery surgery programme in Nepal. Till now, over 800 children suffering from deformities have been provided medical assistance free of cost.
