KATHMANDU: A two-day SAARC programme committee meeting Saturday agreed to recommend seven technical committee reports and five regional centre reports to the standing committee meeting of seven South Asian nations beginning Sunday, an announcement said.

Foreign secretaries are members the standing committee. The programme committee meeting was held in a cordial atmosphere ahead of the summit of the regional grouping from January 4 to 6; representatives of India and Pakistan also participated.

Foreign Ministry spokesman Gyan Chand Acharya headed the Nepali team to the programme committee.
