The Prithivi highway remains blocked from Saturday morning due to landslide at Krishnabhir caused by continuous rainfall in the last two days, reports said.

Vehicles coming to the capital and those heading towards eastern and the western districts have been stranded in the middle of the highway.

Thousands of passengers have come under heightened difficulty amidst freezing winter cold.

Reports quoting sources at the Valley Traffic Police Office in Kathmandu said that traffic is unlikely to resume till Sunday morning, as the dozers sent to remove the blockage could not reach to the spot.
