Police team leaves for Bosnia

Kathmandu, June 28: A 15 member police squad left for Bosnia Wednesday at the call of the United Nations to maintain peace and security in the troubled Baltic republic, an announcement said.

The team is led by Deputy Inspector General Dhak Bahadur Karki. Royal Nepal Army and the police are involved in major UN peacekeeping operations in Lebanon and East Timor as well.
