The petrol pumps in the valley have put up the “No Petrol” sign immediately after the government’s announcement to increase the price of petrol and kerosene leading consumers to face unwanted hassles.

Almost all the pumps in New Baneswore and other major areas of the city were seen putting up the sign Friday morning. Helpless consumers seemed somewhat confused as the artificial shortage comes right after the government’s initiative to launch relief packages for the consumers across the nation.

The government is doing the homework to hike the price of petrol and kerosene. The Nepal Oil Corporation had reported to the government that it would not be able to sell petrol and kerosene in the existing price by incurring a huge loss.
