People asked to carry ID cards at night in Kathmandu

Kathmandu: Ministry of Home has asked all people in the Kathmandu valley to carry documents that show their identity when moving at night between 10 pm and 5 am. In the notice, Home Ministry said that this decision was taken to prevent any untoward incidents and consolidate security in the valley.

The documents can be a citizenship certificate, identity card, voters’ identity card, driving license or any other documents that show the identity of the person, Home Ministry said. Home Ministry has also asked all people to inform to police and the Ministry about terrorists and their activities.
