The Health Ministry has formed a five-member team to probe into the failure of CT Scan machines at the Bir Hospital Tuesday.

The probe team led by Dr Kalyan Raj Pandey, former director of the Department of Health Services has been given a five-day deadline to present its report.

CT Scan services at the Bir Hospital, the oldest hospital in the country have come to a halt since the past one and half months due to which four patients have reportedly died in this period.

In spite of repeated complaints from the patients and extensive media converges over the failure of services, the hospital administration has taken no steps to repair the machines.
