One soldier was killed and two others were injured in a clash with Maoists at Talanbang in Rolpa Saturday, the Defence Ministry said Sunday.

Security forces shot dead 11 Maoists in fresh operations in Lamjung, Rolpa, Surkhet, Kavre and Bardia districts, the announcement said. Three rebels, including a woman, were shot dead in Surkhet.

Security forces recovered guns, pistols, bullets of automatic weapons, explosives, bombs and logistics support from the clash sites, the Ministry said.
