One soldier injured

One army man was injured in a rebel ambush at Chinkun in Solokhumbu Wednesday, the Defence Ministry said Thursday. Security personnel recovered one pressure cooker bomb and 17 pressure cookers from the incident site.

Security personnel recovered Rs.11,540 in Nepali currency notes and Rs.1,400 in Indian currency from Okhaldungha Tuesday during a search, an announcement said.

Locals this week surrendered five guns to security personnel in Banke, the Ministry said. An army medical team treated 70 persons free of cost at Mugu Tuesday and distributed medicine to the sick.
