Offices destroyed by Maoists in Lahan will reopen Sunday, the RSS reported. Rebels bombed and destroyed banks and government offices in the town 150 kms south-east of the capital last week; the town is the district headquarters of Siraha.

The area police office and the traffic police will be temporarily located at the Nepal Food Corporation (NFC) office. Government offices open on Sundays outside Katmandu Valley.
