Kathmandu, Nov.11: The Norwegian Heart and Lung Association (LHL) will continue its four year programme to help Nepal’s efforts to control tuberculosis as the programme was lauded. Consultant to the Association Dr. K. Overberg said this after as assessment.

” The world should learn from the success achieved by Nepal in a short span on time and this success is in fact a model for the developing nations,” he told the National News Agency. The Association will review the TB control efforts only once a year instead of two annual reviews because of the effectiveness of the programme.

From July 2001 the Association will despatch drugs directly to Nepal instead of routing it through the Norwegian aid agency NORAD.
