Kathmandu, June 7: There was no curfew in the capital and the adjoining town of Lalitpur for the first time in four days Thursday as some form of normalcy returned following three days of violence that killed at least six persons and injured several dozen others, including policemen.

“We do not expect to announce a curfew tonight,” a policeman said over telephone at the control room.

During the week, police clashed with demonstrators who alleged a conspiracy while demanding death to royal murders last Friday and an impartial inquiry.
