The NEPSE index gained a marginal 0.34 points at the end of four day trading Thursday. The market was closed Friday to mourn the death of former general manger Madan Raj Joshi. The market opened at 217.10 points Monday and closed at 217.44 points Thursday.
Commercial bank share index gained marginally during the week; it went up to 212.39 points from 11.53 points. Commercial bank shares accounted for 79.83 percent of the total trade. Altogether 28,495 shares worth Rs.8.87 million were sold through 420 transactions.
Bank of Kathmandu led the market with 5,441 shares valued at Rs.1.36 million sold.
