Rewati Subedi, the oldest woman of Nepal died at the age of 116 at her home in Sudal VDC. The late Subedi had seen five generations with 75 family members.
Subedi was born in Sindhupalchowk in BS 1943 and was married at the age of 5 to seven years old Ganga Prasad from Bhaktapur.
In 1999, Social Welfare Council had felicitated Subedi as the oldest woman of the country. Besides, many other organizations also felicitated her as the oldest women of Nepal.
She was cremated at Hanumante Ghat on Monday.
