The Nepali Congress (NC), a major ally of the seven-party coalition that is waging pro-democracy movement against the royal government, has decided to spearhead a nationwide awareness campaign beginning October 22.

During the campaign, which will run until November 30 in all 75 districts, mass meetings, rallies and training sessions will be conducted, reports quoting the NC central office said Saturday.

Central leaders will participate in the campaign focused mainly on the party’s policies and the seven-party movement for total democracy.

NC leaders said the party would also expose the present government’s ‘conspiracy’ against democratic forces in the name of elections.

Apart from the programs decided by the central office, district committees will also be conducting their own programs, reports added.
