KATHMANDU: A business delegation consisting of government and private sector has reached Washington D.C. on Sunday in connection with visit to the United States of America.
The delegation, led by joint secretary at the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Supplies Purushottam Ojha, comprises of six prominent businessmen from Garment Association of Nepal and current and immediate past president of Nepal-U.S. Chamber of Commerce.
During the visit, the members of the delegation will meet Senator, Congressman, Deputy Assistant Secretary, in charge of South Asian Affairs at the Department of State, concerned officials from the Department of Commerce and the office of the United States Trade representative, according to the Royal Nepalese Embassy in Washington D.C.
Likewise, the delegation will attend a luncheon meeting at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and present the case of Nepal to the U.S. business community and government officials.
The delegation also has a programme to interact with Nepalese community leaders and businessmen based in the Washington Metropolitan area, according to a press release of the embassy.
