Nepali arrested with seven rhino horns at Narita Airport

An unidentified Nepali was arrested at Tokyo’s Narita Airport Wednesday while attempting to smuggle seven rare and precious rhino horns of the endangered and protected one horned species found in the Royal National Chitwan National Park.

The Switzerland based Secretariat of the Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES) passed on the information to the Department of National Parks and Wildlife.

Poaching of protected tigers and rhinos has increased at the Chitwan National Park lately.
