Nepal has been placed in group C for the preliminary round matches for the Asia Cup 2004 to be played in China, agencies said. The draw was held in Beijing Saturday.

Afghanistan and Kirgizsthan are in the group with Nepal. If Nepal emerges on top in the group, it will play South Korea, Oman and Vietnam in group E in qualifying round matches next year.
