The “Nepal-Japan information technology (IT) Business Facilitation Program” is to be held in Kathmandu from October 23 to 25, with the aim of finding out the do’s and don’ts of doing business in Japan and providing other relevant information to facilitate business between the two countries.
A press release issued by the Japanese Embassy in Kathmandu said, “Participants of this program will have an opportunity to interact with the visiting Japanese IT expert to gain information on the Japanese IT market.”
The statement added that this program will be a platform for the Japanese officials to understand and acquire information on Nepalese IT policies and business status.
The program jointly organized by High Level Commission for Information Technology (HLCIT), His Majesty’s Government Nepal, Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industries (FNCCI), Nepal-Japan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (NJCCI), Computer Association of Nepal (CAN) and Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) is expected to offer a useful opportunity to Nepalese IT companies who are interested to start business associations with Japanese IT companies.
“There is enough potential in both the Japanese and Nepalese markets to ensure a win-win situation. The lack of awareness about each other’s strengths, opportunities and the means available to explore this vast potential is a barrier that needs to be overcome. This program will be instrumental in removing this barrier,” the statement added.
