The four day long Nepal–India talks held in Kathmandu on excise duty refund concluded on Sunday. The two parties agreed to adopt a new system for easy refund of excise duties and simplify the Duty Refundable Procedure (DRP)
Director-General of the Department of Customs, Krishnahari Banskota, and Director-General of Customs and Excise Duty Directorate T.R Rustogi signed the MoU on behalf Nepal and India respectively.
According to the RSS, the Indian side accepted the request for implementing a “system for Nepali refund” and also expressed consent on the for the refund procedure presented by the Nepali side.
Similarly, an agreement has been reached that the Nepali team could also visit India as and when necessary.
