Police arrested a group of UML activists, including former MP Kamal Koirala, while they were trying to stage a demonstration at Ason in the Nepali capital Friday, according to reports.
Pro-UML activists took out separate `corner rallies’ in the inner side of the rally, according to Kathmandu valley coordination committee of the CPN (UML).
In a separate incident, police have detained around one dozen Nepali Congress activists in western town of Pokhara while they were staging a demonstration demanding restoration of civil and democratic rights in the country, reports said.
