The Nation Sunday paid heartfelt tribute to late King Prithvi Narayan Shah on the occasion of the 282nd birth anniversary of the founder of the nation and the National Unity Day, RSS said.
Prime Minister Surya Bahadur Thapa garlanded at the statue of the late King in front of the main gate of Singhadurbar in the morning.
The Chief Justice, Speaker, Chairman of the Rajparishad Standing Committee, ministers, chiefs of the constitutional bodies, high ranking government officers, senior officials of the Royal Nepali Army, Nepal Police and Armed Police Force and the chiefs of different organisations also paid tribute to the Great King.
Religious hymns were recited and a contingent of the Royal Nepali Army presented a salute to the founder of the nation on the occasion.
