KATHMANDU: Maoists destroyed the home of Minister Chiranjivi Wagle at his village in Chitwan district overnight, police said. Wagle was chief government negotiator of failed peace talks with the rebels.

Insurgents Sunday also bombed and severely damaged the home of lawmaker of the ruling Nepali Congress party Eknath Ranabhatt at another village in the district, an official said.

A woman militia was killed and a large arms cache recovered from Maoists in a clash Sunday at Bhimapur in Bardia Sunday, local officials said.
