Minister for Physical Planning and Works, Chiranjibi Wagle resigned Monday amidst growing media scrutiny into his property holdings.
Wagle is said to have submitted his resignation personally to Prime Minister Deuba at the latter’s office in Singha Durbar.
Wagle in the reasons cited for his resignation has said it would not be proper for him to remain in the post at a time when the CIAA has already sought explanation from him and the Judicial Commission too has been probing his and his family’s property.
Official details about Wagle’s resignation are yet to be received. nepalnews.com am Sept 10
