A rampant spread of measles for the past two weeks in Rara village of Mugu district has killed nine minors and left dozens affected.

Thursday’s reports, quoting the district public health office, said that most victims were children less than ten years old. The reports added that the measles are spreading to the neighboring villages as well.

According to Dr. Ramu Prasad Poudel, chief at the district public health office, a health team from the district public health office has been sent to the affected areas.
