Maoists murdered former member parliament Chakra Bahadur Chaudhary Thursday, police said. He was elected to parliament eight years ago on the CPN-UML ticket from Kailali.

Chaudhary died en route to hospital after he was shot by rebels at his home in Dhangadhi, police said.
