Maoists murder an elderly businessman in Butwal

Maoist insurgents have shot dead an elderly businessman- Padamchanda Shrestha- in the major western town of Butwal on Thursday, reports citing security sources said Friday.

According to Kantipur daily, the sixty-seven-year-old businessman was shot near his residence while he was on a morning walk. Shrestha had been trading electrical goods in Butwal for a long time.

The reason behind the killing is not yet known, reports added.
