The Maoist ultras Saturday night killed a teacher in Morang’s Govindpur-4, reports Sunday said. The victim named Karam Chanda Das, a teacher at a local lower secondary school was shot with four bullets.

As Das had affiliations with the Nepali Congress party, it is believed that his killing was politically motivated.

Likewise, the ultras killed a commoner in Bara on Saturday night. Kalam Khan, 45, who was taken hostage by the Maoists on Thursday night was found dead at the banks of Bakaiya Khola near Nijgarh. He was a minor trader. The ultras, reports said, returned his belongings to the family members after lynching him. nepalnews.com mk Jan 18
