The student wing of the CPN (Maoist), All Nepal National Independent Student Union (Revolutionary), has withdrawn its indefinite educational strike in Rasuwa, Dhading and Nuwakot districts.

Earlier, the student body had announced withdrawal of its strike in the Gandak region. The education of over 700,000 students had been affected for over one month due to the Maoist strike.

The organization said it had decided to withdraw strike after the government made public whereabouts of two of its leaders.

Meanwhile, chairman of ANNISU (Revolutionary), Lekh Nath Neupane, has warned that his organization would launch fresh agitations if the government did not fulfill its demands over the next 20 days. Neupane was talking to BBC Nepali Service on Friday.

The Organisation has demanded probe into incidences of what it calls extra-judicial killing and disappearance of its activists in different parts of the country, among others. nepalnews.com by Sep 11 04
