The World Peace Muktinath 108 Birat Mahayagya 2062 will be performed in different parts of India from November 8 to 14 with a view to promoting religious tourism in Nepal by publicizing its famous religious destinations while wishing for world peace.
Mahayagyas, religious rites of the Hindus, are due to be performed in 32 venues in over 50 provinces of India at the initiative of Akhandajyoti Baba Swami Kamalnayancharya, reports The Rising Nepal.
According to Swami Kamalnayancharya, who has been honoured with Muktinath Pithadhiswor, the Mahayagya is being held in India with a view to popularizing holy and religious places in Nepal, including Pashupatinath, Tribenidham, and Baraha region there.
The seven-day Mahayagya commencing from November 8 will start with the recitation of the Shreemad Bhagwat scriptures.
Likewise, there will be special worship of shaligrams with the milk milked from 125,000 cows and holy water of Purna Kalash brought from the venue of Mahayagya.
In Haridwar, over 10,000,000 lights will be lit with the flames (Deepshika) taken from holy place of Muktinath.
