Landing fees for international and domestic carriers have been slashed 20 to 30 percent from October 22 this year, the Kathmandu Post said quoting civil aviation officials.
“The discount on landing fees would be 20 percent for international carriers and 30 percent for domestic carriers,” the newspaper said quoting Yagya Prasad Gautam, Joint Secretary at the Ministry of Civil Aviation.
The decision to encourage international carriers was taken at the request of ICAO. The landing fees for a Boeing 757 with optimum weight of 100,000 kgs is $475 and Rs.275 to Rs.1,300 for domestic carriers, the newspaper said.
