His Majesty the King, while granting audience to political leaders on Monday, pledged all parties to agree upon his “seven-point agenda”, published reports said Tuesday.
During his meeting with leaders Sher Bahadur Deuba and Pashupati Shamsher Rana, the King proposed his agenda, urging all to reach a common understanding on it, Kantipur daily said.
“National consensus, peace and security, corruption control, people-oriented administration, national solidarity, free and fair election and an all-party government are the seven-point agenda of the King,” the daily said.
Meanwhile, Nepali Congress President Girija Prasad Koirala has been provided an appointment with the King at 10 am Tuesday morning, the daily said, quoting “high-level” Congress sources.
Koirala has returned to Kathmandu from Biratnagar Tuesday evening. He missed the already-fixed royal audience at 4:30 pm Monday, due to delays in his flight schedules, reports said.
