Sugarika KC, Miss Nepal gave impressive performances in the ‘talent show‘ and ‘beach beauty’ rounds on Wednesday, prior to the grand finale of the Miss World 2005 underway in the Chinese city of Sanya.

Sugarika performed Jhaura dance (folk dance), which she had learnt before she left for China, in the Talent Round. Miss America emerged victorious in this round.

Similarly, in the Beach Beauty round in which the top contestant is conferred ‘best physical beauty’, Sugarika presented herself with full confidence, media reports said. Clad in a bikini, the Nepali beauty did make a good impression but could not impress the judges and the Miss Beach title went to Miss Russia.

102 beautiful ladies representing their countries are participating in the grand finale of the 55th Miss World 2005 to be held on Saturday, December 10.

Events of the Miss World contest will be telecast live by Star World on Saturday evening at 6.45 p.m. NST.
